Moonlight Cooking Club
Ongoing Mostly Tuesdays, 6:30-8:30 pm in the DWC Kitchen The Moonlight Cooking Club is an opportunity to cook a meal that will be served as lunch the next day in DWC's Day Center. We provide the recipe and guidance in cooking for a crowd; you bring some of the needed ingredients for the meal and your volunteer energy. Together, you and your co-volunteers help defray the Center's food costs and provide the Ladies here with a fresh and healthy meal. Cooking Club E-Bulletins alert you approximately one week prior to the next cooking opportunity, and you simply sign up for the meetings that work for your schedule. Contact Vanessa Wai, Volunteer Coordinator, at vanessaw@dwcweb.org, to sign up for our e-bulletin. Please note: Dates are subject to change without notice. Sign ups will not be taken until the e-bulletin is sent out for each cooking club (approximately 1 week in advance). You must receive the e-bulletin and RSVP to attend.

I AM, WE ARE A Dramatic Performance Starring DWC Participants & Residents Sunday April 22, 2007 7:30 PM DWC Participants will star in a dramatic performance, under the direction of playwright Michael Kearns. The performance will feature pieces written and performed by DWC residents and participants, and will take place at the Center for the Arts in Eagle Rock. The venue is located at 2225 Colorado Blvd., Los Angeles 90041. The event is free and open to the public and is made possible, in part, to LA Cultural Affairs.
